Venue Lake Eustis Sailing Club is located at 1310 CR 452, Eustis, Florida 32726-about 40 miles north of Orlando. The Club's mailing address: P.O. Box 1056, Eustis, FL 32727-1056.

Rules and
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).


This event is open to MC Scows whose skippers have completed registration. Trophy age categories must be met before the first scheduled race.


The event is the second of three in the MC Triple Crown series, the other events in the series are the Southeast Regional Championship Regatta which was held in November 2017 and the MCSA Midwinter Championship to be held in March 8-10, 2018. Competing in all three events is required to be eligible for the Triple Crown award.

Boat registration for mcsa members is $90 if registered at by Tuesday, January 13, 2018. Registration after that is $95.00.
Non-MCSA members are $95.00 if registered by January 13, 2018. Registration after that is $100.

Boat registration includes (for skipper) - breakfast each day, Friday appetizers, Saturday evening dinner, and regatta “T” shirt and Complimentary  Wi-Fi      

Additional items, breakfasts $2.00, lunches $8, dinners $15, and T shirts $15 if ordered by January 13 – after that date additional meals and T Shirts cannot be guaranteed. 


MCSA New Member Signup / Information 


The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A will be used. Eight (8) races are scheduled but more may be sailed at the discretion of the PRO. A minimum of one race must be completed to constitute a regatta.


Scoring for the MC Triple Crown series will be as follows:

  • First place finisher in the SER and in the Train Wreck Regattas will be awarded 60 points, second place finisher 59 points, third 58 points, etc.
  • First place finisher in the Mid-Winters Regatta will be awarded 120 points, second place finisher 119 points, third place 118 points, etc.
  • Total score for the series will be the sum of scores in all three regattas.

VHF Radio

VHF radio will be used by the RC will communicate with the contestants about activity on the race course; e.g. delays, recalls, weather related issues.


Camping is allowed on the grounds of the Sailing Club (on the north side of building)

Please declare intent to camp in the comment section of your registration form.


Up to eight RVs less than 30 ft long can be accommodated by prior arrangement.  Please indicate intent to RV in the comments section of your registration form - first come first served!


Camping and RVs are permitted on the Club’s grounds from Jan 28 to Feb 5, 2018

MC Boat
LESC has a Boat Storage Program for sailors who want to keep their boats here between the regattas. This keeps your MC here at LESC while you fly down for Zenda U/ MCSA MidWinters Championship Regatta. Let us know in the comment section of your registration form if you are interested.
