A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number, and must compete with that number for the entire event.

A complimentary membership in MCSA for 2018 will be granted to all who compete in this event. Made possible by the sustaining members of MCSA. Email with membership details and you will be added to the database.

The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
  1. The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be published and be posted on the official notice board located at the club.
  2. Racing Area:  The racing will be the waters of Cedar Lake.
  3. Courses to be sailed are all windward leeward courses as shown in the Standard Sailing Instructions Appendix S.
  4. No race will be started with the wind under 5 mph.
  5. Flags will be the primary means of communication on the water however the RC will attempt to make VHF radio contact regarding OCSs, weather issues, safety concerns, and other actions of the RC where clarification might be helpful to the sailors.   The competitor channel to be used will be posted.
  6. Racing rules 30.1, 33, 35, 62.1, A4.2 and A11 will be changed.  The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions. The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules.
